Did you know? (Part-1) Facts about Cats

Cats are one of the most fascinating creatures that we come across in our day to day lives. If you   are more of a cat person, then here are some interesting facts for you..

Cats have a very long history. In fact, the ancestry of the domestic cat dates back to more than 8000 years. (But do the cats know about this?? ;)

Your pet kitty can live up to 15 years. But the average life-span of the ones living outside your home is only a maximum of 5 years.(So, it wouldn't be that bad to adopt a few more kittens, right?? :)

Cats have the ability to understand people. They have a wonderful tone recognizing ability.

When your cat rubs the side of his face against you, it may not be because he cares about you. He’s marking you with his scent. That mark shows that you are his property and warns other cars to stay  away from you!

You might have noticed your cat biting you after you’ve rubbed his stomach. Fear not! This is a unique behavior of cats to express pleasure.

Did you know that cats are the laziest of all mammals? A normal cat spends upto 16 hours just for sleeping alone. So, don’t worry if your cat sleeps too much. It’s there in its genes.

We all have various kinds of dreams while sleeping. But have you ever wondered whether your pet kitty gets dreams while he sleeps? Of course yes! Cats can dream too. In fact, a kitten begins to dream right from the first week of its birth.

Wanna know whether your cat is happy? Just take a look at his paws. If you find him kneading them, your kitty is definitely happy.

Never give your kitty food stuffs that are extremely cold or hot. It is always good to provide them with food at normal i.e. room temperature.

An average cat sheds about 90 pounds of hair during its lifetime (Make sure to sweep your floors frequently ;)

Above all, remember that your cat expects your company. Treat him like your friend and talk to him quite often. Once you do this, your kitty can sense your happiness as well as your pain. He will start comforting you in a way that you can ever imagine!

Hachiko- The Symbol of Loyalty

Hi friends! Here I am with another brand new post for cute little pups. I guess that many of you might be familiar with the name “Hachiko”. But for those who are not, here’s the story. Hachiko is one of the most loyal dogs that this planet has seen these many years. He is the true symbol of loyalty. He was the one who brought fame to the dogs’ community.

The Birth of Hachiko
Hachiko was a dog who belonged to the breed Akita. He was born in Japan in November 1923. As he was born as the eighth pup of the litter he was named Hachiko. In Japanese, Hachi means eight and Ko means prince. So, literally it means the eighth prince. Hachiko is remembered for the remarkable loyalty that he showed towards his master Hidesaburō Ueno who was a professor in the University of Tokyo.

Weird habit, ain’t it?
Hachiko was taken by Hidesaburō Ueno in the year 1924. The owner and his pet had a weird habit. Hachiko used to greet his master at the Shibuya Station as he returned from his work every evening. This eventually turned out to be a daily routine for both of them. But all of a sudden Hidesaburō Ueno died due to cerebral hemorrhage while he was at work. This happened in May, 1925. Just like the other days Hachi was waiting at the Shibuya Station for his master’s return. But he never knew that he wasn’t gonna come back. Right from that day Hachiko started to wait in the station for nine consecutive years until his death in 1935.
It is even said that Hidesaburō Ueno’s family had given away Hachiko after the professor’s death. But the loyalty of this wonderful dog was such that it escaped from all of it and waited for his true master at the station’s gate.

Hachiko- An Inspiration
Hachiko is an inspiration for all of us. He has taught us how to be loyal to those who shower love up on us. The love he had for his master was the reason behind his long wait at the Shibuya Station for years together. Hachiko is a symbol of determination. All his life he was determined to wait for his master’s return and he never gave up. He brought pride and glory to the Akitas. For those who see dogs as a menace, Hachiko is a lesson. Man is the best friend for dogs. If you have a dog at home, the love he has for you will be seen in his very eyes. Every time he wags his tail, he tries to tell you that he loves you dearly. So give your heart and soul to your dog. There’s none who can be loyal to you more than him!

Welcome to CuteLittlePups! Pets have become a part and parcel of man’s life. They are the meaning of the word affection. Just imagine your cute pup wagging its tail and giving you a warm welcome as soon as you reach home. No matter how tired you are, you’ll definitely forget all your stress and a breeze of happiness will embrace you. The charming look of your pet is worth more than a billion dollars! Pets give us all the love and affection that we need and all they expect in return is the same love that they give to us.
